The video above shows South Carolina Highway Patrol trooper Sean Groubert, 31, shooting Levar Jones, 35, during a routine traffic stop for a seatbelt violation. Groubert shot at Jones without provocation, striking him in the hip. The trooper was fired on Friday and arrested last night for assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.

Suspect in UVA Student Abduction Nabbed in Texas

Jesse Leroy Matthew, Jr., the suspect charged with the abduction of still-missing University of Virginia student Hannah Graham, was arrested by police in Galveston, Texas. Police had upgraded the charges against Matthew from reckless driving to felony abduction last night. Until his arrest, Matthew had not been seen since fleeing a police tail last Saturday in Charlottesville.
