Gawker T-Shirts: From Our Sweatshop To Your Stocking

Choire · 12/08/04 03:00PM

Intending to have some Christmas swag for pals, we printed up a limited edition Gawker T-shirt. But we don't have any friends. So, instead, we're selling them off. They're 100% cotton, made by American Apparel, and we made our interns print the designs by hand over Thanksgiving. Just kidding—actually, we got a referral from Kathie Lee Gifford for a great sweatshop.

Have Yourself, a Merry Generation X-mas

Haber · 12/08/04 12:56PM

Remember Generation X? You know, Slackers? The thirteenth gen? The first generation of Americans to do worse than their parents? Gosh, this was way back in the early nineties, around the time of a Gulf War, a Bush presidency, and widespread joblessness: A time completely unlike our own.

Looking At The 'Look Book'

Jessica · 12/07/04 05:13PM

Every week, the Strategist section of New York magazine features the Look Book, in which they flag down a completely random New Yorker and talk to them about their personal style. This week, they've grabbed "modern-day gypsy" and artist Agathe Snow. How and why they choose these people, we don't know. In order to better understand the Look Book, Alexis The Intern took to the "streets" for reader input. After the jump, The Black Table's Eric Gillin, Fleshbot Intern Matt Schneier, and Nylon's Danielle Nussbaum analyze Agathe's nuanced style.

'Late Late Show': A Black Day for Michael Ian

Haber · 12/07/04 11:36AM

As you may have already heard, CBS is expected to announce that Scottish actor Craig Ferguson will host The Late Late Show. It'll be hard for us to muster up enthusiasm for a new host we've never heard of for a show we've never watched, but we are sad that Michael Ian Black won't be filling the venerable seat vacated by Craig Kilborn earlier this year.

Some people are so sensitive! You accuse them of a brutal murder with ritualistic overtones on the cover of your tabloid and they get all bent out of shape! Sheesh!
