On Monday night, NYPD officers shot and killed two men, Francisco Carvajal and Rafael Laureano, in a Brooklyn apartment. Carvajal had broken into his ex-girlfriend's home and was threatening her and her children with a knife; Laureano was attempting to intervene and was accidentally hit with a police bullet.

A Walmart security guard in Nashville, Tennessee shot a man last night who was allegedly trying to steal a case of beer. According to WSMV, police are now investigating whether or not the guard was "justified in using his weapon." The guard hit the man in the back.

New details have emerged in the case of Sandra Amezquita's rough arrest last Saturday that was in part captured on video. In the video, an NYPD officer slams Amezquita, who is pregnant, belly-first into the ground. She and her attorney now say cops beat her belly with a baton.

The video above shows South Carolina Highway Patrol trooper Sean Groubert, 31, shooting Levar Jones, 35, during a routine traffic stop for a seatbelt violation. Groubert shot at Jones without provocation, striking him in the hip. The trooper was fired on Friday and arrested last night for assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.

Yesterday, after reports that a mysterious fire had been set to a Michael Brown memorial, a photo allegedly depicting a Ferguson, Mo., police officer wearing an "I am Darren Wilson" bracelet, in support of the officer who shot and killed Brown, began to circulate on social media.

Officer Daniel Holtzclaw of the Oklahoma City Police Department was arrested last week on charges that he'd sexually assaulted and raped eight black women while allegedly threatening to arrest them if they did not submit to him. He has now been charged after his arrest in the middle of August.

An attorney for the family of John Crawford III, the man fatally shot by police in an Ohio Walmart store, says surveillance video contradicts the police department's version of events. An audio technician working on the television show Cops was killed by police gunfire after a robbery at a Wendy's in Omaha, Neb. yesterday. According to the Omaha World-Herald, at least 30 shots were fired in the shootout.

Oklahoma City police officer Daniel Holtzclaw, 27, was arrested Wednesday after allegedly sexually assaulting at least six women while on duty. Police chief Bill Citty said at a news conference yesterday that Holtzclaw would "stop the women while he was working, force them to expose themselves, fondle them, and in at least one instance had intercourse with a woman." To get the women to comply, he allegedly threatened to arrest them.
