To wit, officers Aerial Ronell and Ranell Roy filmed themselves jamming out to Katy Perry's "Dark Horse." You think Ronell is not so into it at first (Roy is so into it), but then that (absurd) Juicy J verse comes in and all is well.

A Virginia reporter FOIAed any automatic license-plate reader data the local cops might have collected on her. The results were chilling, and possibly illegal: "The police know exactly where my car has been—and when—during the past few months."

Adam Weinstein · 04/29/14 12:27PM

Researchers are feverishly working on a "GPS bullet" that cops could shoot at your car, attaching itself to the chassis and helping law enforcement track your vehicle's movements. Don't worry, the ACLU is... not entirely against it? Hrmm.

Adam Weinstein · 01/29/14 10:40AM

Two men wanted for a host of charges attempted to flee authorities in North Florida by paddling away on a river for hours. And they would have gotten away with it, too, if the cops hadn't gotten their hands on one of those cutting-edge, go-fast "motor" boats.
