Tonight, shortly after the conclusion of the second night of the Republican National Convention, the Twitter account of noted political satire program The Daily Show pointed out what appeared to be evidence of Donald Trump Jr. lifting a portion of his speech from an article published in the American Conservative, just one night after his stepmother Melania was caught plagiarizing part of her speech from one given by Michelle Obama at the 2008 Democratic Convention:

CLEVELAND — It’s getting warmer here at the Republican National Convention, and tensions are rising. On Tuesday afternoon, right-wing conspiracy theorist and radio host Alex Jones strode into a crowd gathered in Cleveland’s Public Square, drawing the attention of Trump supporters, the media, and members of the Revolutionary Communist Party, who screamed in his face: “Off our streets, Nazi scum.” Caught in a scuffle on the stone steps leading up to the speaker podium at the south end of the square, Jones was quickly and unceremoniously ushered out of the scrum by police.

He. sure. sounds. excited!

While others announced their readiness for Trump at the Republican National Convention Tuesday night, one attendee* advertised his readiness for something else, appearing on live television with a hat reading “DTF.”

On Tuesday, the Republican National Convention held a roll call vote to officially nominate Donald Trump as their party’s candidate for President of the United States. Goddamn.

Fox News CEO Roger Ailes, who is currently facing numerous accusations of sexual harassment by a growing number of current and former employees, is reportedly—reportedly!—departing the channel, which he founded in October 1996 and has helmed for the past 19 years. This morning, Gabriel Sherman of New York magazine reported that Fox News’ star anchor, Megyn Kelly, had told investigators hired by 21st Century Fox that her boss had sexually harassed her approximately ten years ago, when she still worked at Fox. In the same piece, Sherman claimed that attorneys for 21st Century Fox had given Ailes an ultimatum: “Resign or face being fired for cause” by August 1 of this year.

CLEVELAND — Earlier this week, Infowars radio host Alex Jones slammed Karl Rove for refusing to answer a few simple questions. Except now, Alex Jones is using the same shameful evasive maneuvers that so sickened him before. Alex—why are you so scared of Gawker’s questions about Pokémon Go?

CLEVELAND — Earlier this afternoon, Ashley and I stumbled upon Fox News’s Bret Baier and Chris Wallace livestreaming a discussion from a Facebook booth adjacent to the convention center, where most of the campaign press work when not in the arena.

CLEVELAND — It is a great American tradition, especially during presidential campaigns, for political candidates to deploy military veterans and active service members as evidence of both their robust patriotism and their qualifications to be commander-in-chief. Donald Trump, of course, is neither a patriot nor qualified to be commander-in-chief, and on Tuesday morning a group of veterans gathered in the public square here to make that very point.

CLEVELAND — Cleveland prepped for a deluge of protestors at the RNC, and its bike cops have been storming the streets in full force. But so far, the various packs of law enforcement haven’t actually had all that much to do. Which is probably why, last night, a dozen or so cops surrounded a girl armed with nothing more than a cigarette, a megaphone, and a passion for the city of Cleveland and American Freedom™. This all went down directly outside the arena where this week’s speeches are being held, where this young woman apparently found a megaphone.

An “overwhelming majority” of 130 editorial staffers at Law360 have voted to unionize with the New York NewsGuild. They join a slew of other media outlets that have unionized in the past year.

Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly—who ranks among the channel’s most valuable and visible on-air talent, and has maintained close ties with network CEO Roger Ailes—has apparently told lawyers hired by 21st Century Fox that Ailes made sexual advances toward her several years ago, according to reporting by Gabriel Sherman of New York magazine:
