For almost a year now, a national labor movement has been pushing for higher wages for America's fast food workers. Last week in Chicago, a longtime McDonald's worker interrupted a speech by McDonald's USA president Jeff Stratton, asking "Do you think it's fair that I have to be living on a poverty wage?"

The worker, Nancy Salgado, is a single mother of two. After a decade at McDonald's, she makes $8.25 an hour. Jeff Stratton's only response to her shouted questions was, "I've been there for 40 years."

Nancy Salgado was removed from the event and fined. A longer interview with her can be seen here.
