Two months after Jeb Bush proudly announced to no one that he wasn’t voting for Donald Trump, George P. Bush broke away from his father on Saturday, asking Texas Republicans to support the Republican nominee without directly naming Trump.

Earlier this week, in a Hill article discussing the various former Bush advisors supporting Hillary Clinton, we got the briefest of insights into the Bush family’s current priorities. Priorities that include, George, George, Jr., and absolutely no Jeb.

After making headlines this week by reviving decades-old Clinton scandals, ultimate ‘90s kid Donald Trump hearkened back to a more recent golden era on Wednesday: Earlier this year, when more than a dozen lifelong Republicans got dunked on by a stupid orange clown.

Like a man making his final booty call to an ex-lover he previously spurned, Donald Trump went on the radio yesterday to own Jeb Bush one last time, two months after the nice man from Florida exited the race.

It’s been a long 67 days since we last heard from Sad Jeb. And considering his sodium-addled state, we were starting to get worried. But fear not. Noted scion Jeb Bush is still here, and he’s (probably) fine(-ish). Also, he’s not voting for President.

Tonight in the first round of the NBA playoffs, the Miami Heat’s Dwyane Wade made several remarkable shots to force a Game 7 against the Charlotte Hornets. Jeb Bush, who has nothing better to do than tweet about basketball like the rest of us, celebrated the heroic performance by mangling the spelling of Wade’s first name in the exact way a small child might.

Today, a man named Al Hoffman has a column in The USA Today, the paper of record of America’s airports. At the bottom of the column, it is noted that Hoffman was once George W. Bush’s ambassador to Portugal, just so you get a feel for the type of person we’re dealing with here. Hoffman, as he writes in the column, spent the last several months fundraising for Jeb Bush’s too-big-to-fail presidential campaign, which, of course, failed spectacularly.

Erstwhile presidential candidate and public sad man Jeb Bush endorsed Ted Cruz in a statement posted to Facebook page this morning.

In February (the month he dropped out), Jeb Bush loaned his presidential campaign $250,000, according to new campaign finance documents. Also: nearly half of the money Marco Rubio’s super PAC raised since he announced his candidacy came in February—the month before he quit.

Former candidate for President and current sad man Jeb Bush doesn’t have to be sad tonight. Because even though his mother may always love George just a little bit more, Jeb still somehow managed to pull in two percent of Florida voters. Truly a great night for Jeb.

A few days ago, Jeb Bush reportedly met with Ted Cruz, John Kasich and Marco Rubio in Miami. Why would three of the final four Republican candidates agree to a summit with the campaign’s giant-ass loser? Well, Erick Erickson has a pretty good theory:

“Anyone can aspire to be President of the United States, but few have any hope of becoming President of the Bohemian Club,” Richard Nixon reportedly once said. But for a kid growing up in Sonoma County, California near the Bohemian Grove, the club’s ultra-exclusive campground, getting a service job there was easy.

Remember the rich guy who gave away a personal fortune to a 26-year-old Times Square psychic in hopes of reuniting with his dead ex-girlfriend? Mike Murphy, who drained the extremely moneyed conservative super PAC Right to Rise trying to get Jeb Bush to the White House, proudly played the role of that man in this year’s election.

It’s been nine long days since Jeb decided to stop punishing himself and finally end what was left of his campaign. So how’s our sweet, sad boy holding up? According to his most recent Snapchat, Jeb is either doing better than ever or has finally lost it. It’s impossible to say for sure.

The wreckage of Jeb Bush’s foredoomed campaign has already inspired dozens of articles about the mistakes and miscalculations that led donors, consultants, and Bush himself to believe he had a shot at winning the 2016 race. This genre of journalism reliably offers revealing anecdotes and bitchy anonymous quotes about a campaign’s internal dysfunction. The journalists on Bush’s case, however, seem preoccupied not with behind-the-scenes drama, but with the question of Bush’s soul. Indeed, four reports published in the last four days have emphasized that Bush is “human.” That seems like a trend!

Regardless of who ends up technically winning come November, the 2016 election cycle already crowned its champion months ago: Congratulations to absurdist video mastermind Vic Berger. We are so very sorry for your loss.
