There's was a bunch of TV — GMA, Fox News, the Food Network — plus notables like Google and the CBS Evening News. We count on you for the good goss from these get-together, and so far: nada.

Clearly we tuned into Fox News at the wrong time last night. We should have been watching Hannity & Colmes:

Let's say you're both politically interested and also a moderate alcoholic. And so, while of course you're interested in yesterday's election returns, you're also not interested enough to give up happy hour with some friends at the neighborhood bar. (It's an off year, you know who'll win NYC mayor, and certainly New Jersey and Virginia governors, while important races, aren't going to keep you home and sober.) So you go out for a while, and you get home at, say, around 10:15. At which point you turn on NY1 to confirm that Bloomberg has, of course, won. He has. And then you want to learn about the other two big contests, the two gubernatorial races, which, because they're on the other side of the Hudson, you don't expect Roma Torre to tell you about.

After a complaint was filed by Fox News employee Kim Weiler, The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has filed a federal lawsuit against the cable network, claiming it "harassed and discriminated" against female employees. Coming barely one year-ish after Andrea Mackris's fantastic lawsuit against Bill O'Reilly (in which he allegedly expressed wanting to do in the shower with a soapy falafel), we can't really say we're surprised.

• Major investor in Knight Ridder newspaper chain demands the chain be sold "to increase shareholder value." Because 20 percent profit margins at KR papers — or whatever astronomincal number the company demands — clearly aren't enough. [NYT]
• CBS News's new Roone Arledge learned at the feet — literally — of the old Roone Arledge. [TV Guide]
• More tsuris for the hip-hop bible: The Source is $156K behind in rent. [Radar]
• Unsurprisingly, Fox & Friends, the Fox News morning show, is obnoxious — and successful. [NYO]
