Brian Moylan · 04/27/11 04:47PMWe've only seen the first "Meet the Cast" teaser of Geordie Shore the MTV UK version of Jersey Shore and already we're disappointed. Just like you can't make soccer happen in the U.S., you can't make guidos happen in the U.K.

Ah, springtime in Cambridge! The birds are chirping, the flowers are blooming, and the Harvard seniors are wetting their beds on a nightly basis at the prospect of entering "the real world." (As opposed to the elaborate hologram that is life on campus. You thought you lost your virginity in college? Guess again! That wasn't reality, it was a lucid dream.)

Maureen O'Connor · 04/27/11 03:40PM
Katie Holmes' $50 million libel lawsuit against Star magazine has ended. In today's issue, Star apologized for a January story about how Tom Cruise and Scientology control Katie. You can check out some raw, hazy AP footage of Giffords boarding the plane up top. She walked from her car and up the ramp without assistance.

Our invitation must have been lost in the mail, but we did send fictional freelancer Betsey Morgenstern to ask everyone some questions. No one responded to her querulous queries, but we have to print something, so here is what she asked everyone.

Adrian Chen · 04/27/11 01:47PMAmerica's worst trend, YouTube videos of fast food patrons fighting, continues. Now it's happening at an Atlanta IHOP, where an off-duty police officer punched a woman in the face, kicking off a melee. It's unclear exactly why the cop was struggling with these people in the first place. The lawyer representing three of the women in the video accused the police officer of "excessive force."
'Atlas Shrugged' Trilogy May Never Reach Completion
Jim Newell · 04/27/11 01:20PM
The producer of the recent film adaption of Ayn Rand's novel Atlas Shrugged, the tedious right-wing fantasy that Rep. Paul Ryan makes each of his staff members read, may never get around to making parts two and three. The film has made a dumpy $3 million at the box office so far, thanks to those liberal film critics who don't understand art.
