In today's episode of Gatineau 911, Quebecois law enforcement, lights flashing and sirens blaring, manage to surround a cow wandering around the road in a small community near Ottawa. They then fire at it ten times, all of which was captured on video by horrified onlookers.

A police spokesperson later said the cow was one of a pair who had escaped on its way to slaughter. They said the animals had "charged police cars" and were "impossible to contain." They were given permission by the cows' owner to shoot to kill.

It's not exactly the Ohio exotic animal slaughter, but at :55 seconds, the video nevertheless shifts from laugh-out-loud ridiculous to utterly upsetting. You've been warned. [CBC News/Police One]
