On this beautiful spring day, let us celebrate the changing seasons with designer Tom Ford, who has issued a style decree: men must never expose their legs in public.

A man should never wear shorts in the city. Flip-flops and shorts in the city are never appropriate. Shorts should only be worn on the tennis court or on the beach.

Crocs and bloomers in the suburbs, he added, are perfectly fine.

Though fashion rules from out-of-touch rich people tend to be a drag (is he aware that exercise occurs outside the tennis court, too?), Ford has a bit of a point: Shorts on adults—particularly hairy-legged male adults—can be mighty awkward. Is there a happy medium, though? Or should shorts on men be banned? Weigh in, gentle readers. Hot-legged men the world around must know what to do with their limbs.
