Craig Rowin is a Brooklyn comedian who writes for The Onion. Last November, he posted this Youtube video that simply asked for some rich person to give him a million dollars. Now he says: someone is. Really, Craig Rowin? Really?

Yes, really, according to Craig Rowin:

"It still hasn't sunk in yet," the 27-year-old funnyman told the Daily News. "Do I deserve it? I have no idea. Maybe not. But there's so much wealth. Let me have a chunk."

Aha. So a comedian—a writer for The Onion, no less—puts on a tuxedo and makes a video (at the bottom of this post) in which he plays a voicemail from a mysterious millionaire named "Benjamin," and then waves what he says is a notarized letter from Benjamin's attorney agreeing to give him one million dollars, live on stage at the UCB theater on February 2.

Okay... bullshit. Clearly identifiable bullshit. He did get the Daily News and a bunch of other places like us to do stories on him, though, so at least this exercise has paid off in some free PR. Craig Rowin, if you actually get one million dollars (to keep) on February 2, we'll have our wealthy boss give you another million dollars*. Because things that magical don't happen in this cold world. But please, feel free to convince us otherwise.

* That is, we'll ask him to. No telling what he'll say.
