A 19-year-old Vogue model wound up in court this week after she allegedly tried to steal three chocolate bars from a downtown Whole Foods earlier this summer.

Roosmarijn de Kok, a Dutch model who appeared on the cover of Vogue Thailand, is also accused of shoplifting a bottle of fish oil from the grocery store. She was charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree and faced a judge today.

The defendant reportedly wore Saint Laurent.

But before court was adjourned, reports the New York Post, de Kok's attorney went on the record claiming she's neither a criminal nor a criminally unhealthy eater.

Her lawyer, Sal Strazzullo, called the charges bogus, saying she forgot she still had the items in her bag after purchasing other things such as non-fat yogurt and protein bars.

"While she was about to leave the store … she remembered what she had in her bag. When she turned around, the store detectives were like, 'We got you,' " he told The Post.

"The complaint states that she attempted to leave — it doesn't state that she did leave. She's totally innocent," Strazzullo said.
