The Obama Girls Had So-So Seats at a Beyoncé Show Last Night
Michelle Obama dragged her daughters, Malia, 15, and Sasha, 12, out for a visit with her friend Mrs. Carter in Chicago last night, even though Mrs. Carter only ever wants to talk about mortgages and interest rates and mulch and Sasha and Malia would rather spend their time snapchatting pix of their dog to their friends.
The Sun-Times reported last week that the the First Lady was planning to catch Beyoncé in the girls' hometown on the Chicago stop of the Mrs. Carter Show world tour, and that the United Center was beefing up security in anticipation.
Images snapped by Twitter users show the Obamas (minus the President but plus Gayle King) alternately standing (cool) and sitting (lame, Mom!) in a box surrounded by other concert-goers. Twitter user @YoungCollegiate, who tweeted that he was standing in the row in front of the group, wrote that Malia was "nice" but said she wasn't allowed to take pictures when he asked her for one. (He snapped one on the sly.)

Beyoncé previously recorded a song and video as part of the First Lady's "Let's Move" campaign.
President Obama previously said the White House has "better things to do" than plan vacations for Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z.
