Ted Cruz Drops Out After Crushing Defeat in Indiana

Shortly after losing Indiana’s Republican primary on Tuesday, Ted Cruz announced that he is ending his campaign for president, leaving Donald Trump the party’s presumptive nominee.

Just hours before, an exasperated Cruz warned that “this country could well plunge into the abyss” if Indiana “does not act.” Unfortunately for Cruz, Indiana overwhelmingly chose the abyss.
