The Famous Vagina Painting That Facebook Doesn't Want You to See
Adrian Chen · 04/13/11 02:16PMGustave Courbet's 1886 oil painting of a naked woman's lower half, The Origin of the World, hangs in Paris' Musee d'Orsay. But it is not welcome on the hallowed walls of Facebook. Facebook has abruptly canceled at least three accounts after users posted the painting, and art connoisseurs are fuming.

Max Read · 03/07/11 03:07AMMeet the newest member of the Facebook family: "Beast," a Hungarian sheepdog recently adopted by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his girlfriend Priscilla Chan. And, true to form, Zuckerberg has already grossly violated the poor dog's privacy by creating a Facebook page for him, complete with photographs and a bio. Did Beast even consent to this? Who filled in Beast's personal information?
Facebook Is Now Valued at $65 Billion
Adrian Chen · 03/04/11 01:40PMA new investment in Facebook by the venture capital firm General Atlantic puts Facebook's worth at $65 billion. Just last month, Facebook was valued at a measly $50 billion by Goldman Sachs. What happened in a month to make Facebook worth $15 billion more? Mark Zuckerberg Is Now a Comic Book Hero
Adrian Chen · 02/23/11 06:58PMCanadian publisher Bluewater Productions has just published a 48-page comic book which tells the true origin story of Mark Zuckerberg. The center panel here depicts the time Zuckerberg was held up at gunpoint in 2005 while driving from Palo Alto to Berkeley. Of course, we all know what happened after that brush with danger: Zuckerberg built a bulletproof robotic exoskeleton in his basement and swore to devote his life to fighting crime. Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg Wined and Dined by Obama
Adrian Chen · 02/18/11 11:17AMSteve Jobs, rumored to be dying of cancer, was healthy enough to sit beside Obama at a dinner for tech moguls in San Francisco last night. Also in attendance: Mark Zuckerberg, who was pried out of his hoodie for the occasion, Google CEO Eric Schmidt, Yahoo! chief Carol Bartz and Twitter CEO Dick Costolo.
What Will Obama Say to Mark Zuckerberg?
Adrian Chen · 02/16/11 07:36PMFacebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is going to meet Barack Obama in San Francisco next week, along with other "business leaders in technology and business." Would love to be a fly on the wall in that room. Obama has a sort of complicated relationship with Facebook! On the one hand, college students clicking "like" got him elected in 2008. And Zuckerberg is running a successful business, which Obama likes, even if Facebook probably creates a net-loss in GDP due to hours wasted on Farmville.
