Steve Jobs, rumored to be dying of cancer, was healthy enough to sit beside Obama at a dinner for tech moguls in San Francisco last night. Also in attendance: Mark Zuckerberg, who was pried out of his hoodie for the occasion, Google CEO Eric Schmidt, Yahoo! chief Carol Bartz and Twitter CEO Dick Costolo.

According to Obama press secretary Jay Carney, talk centered on boosting the American tech industry: "The president specifically discussed his proposals to invest in research and development and expand incentives for companies to grow and hire."

Oh come on, you've got Eric Schmidt and Mark Zuckerberg in the same room: At least make them arm wrestle for the Future of the Internet. On the left is a picture of all the moguls in a toast. You can almost smell the money.
