The Romanian hacker who first inadvertently revealed the existence of Hillary Clinton’s secret, off-the-books email account back in 2014 now says he directly breached her home server, contradicting claims to the contrary by the Clinton campaign.

The Romanian hacker known as Guccifer (real name: Marcel Lazăr Lehel) gained infamy in 2013 after hacking the email accounts of several prominent American political figures, including Colin Powell and Clinton-confidant Sydney Blumenthal. Now, his homeland is handing him over.

Guccifer, the Romanian hacker who introduced the world to George W. Bush's nude self-portraits, has been sentenced to four years in prison. The former cab driver, born Marcel Lazar Lehel, was arrested in January.

The man who brought us the George W. Bush paintings has reportedly been arrested: On Wednesday night, Romanian authorities arrested Marcel Lazăr Lehel, the 40-year-old man accused of being the hacker Guccifer, at his home in Arad. Guccifer has hacked into the email accounts of Colin Powell, family members and friends of at least three U.S. presidents, plus numerous other celebrities and officials.

These new doodles, hacked by the politically-minded Guccifer and published for the first time here on Gawker, appear to be the Bill Clinton doodles that the world has patiently been waiting for.

None of that, apparently, adequately prepared him for his personal—and very sexy—email getting hacked.

As the Smoking Gun and others have reported, a hacker calling himself (or herself) "Guccifer" claims to have compromised the email account of former Clinton aide Sidney Blumenthal, revealing memos that Blumenthal purportedly wrote to then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton about Benghazi and other matters. What seems to have escaped notice is that Blumenthal, a fierce Clinton partisan in the 1990s, was the orchestrator of a subterranean smear campaign against Obama during the Democratic primary and was specifically spiked by the White House as a potential staffer for Clinton when she became Secretary of State. And he was sending notes to Clinton at a private, non-governmental email address. Did Obama know Clinton was consulting with the guy who tried to kneecap him?

As we mentioned earlier, a hacker calling himself (or herself) Guccifer has penetrated the electronic worlds of George W. Bush, Hillary Clinton, and a number of other political figures. Screengrabs of various email conversations that Bush, Clinton, and others have participated in have been floating around the internet. And it has come to our attention on this, the day of the 10th anniversary of the invasion of Iraq on the orders of George W.
