Notoriously hypocritical anti-abortion Congressman Scott DesJarlais, Republican from Tennessee (which is a Super Tuesday state), has endorsed Donald Trump, the Guardian reports. DesJarlais’s ex-wife and his mistress have undergone abortions either at his behest or as the result of a “mutual decision.”

Early yesterday morning, Donald Trump decided to retweet a Benito Mussolini quote originally posted by Twitter bot that Gawker had made several months ago, expressly for the purpose of goading Trump into retweeting a Benito Mussolini quote. In sending out that one little tweet, Donald Trump proved the point we had in mind when we created that bot: to show that Trump’s rhetoric is often indistinguishable from that of history’s most vainglorious and authoritarian fascist dictators—Benito Mussolini, specifically.

Donald Trump and Chris Christie were friends before each began running for president, and they’re certainly friends now that Christie is campaigning on Trump’s behalf as his first major establishment endorsement. But in the months between those periods—when Trump appeared to be little more than a nuisance to party favorites like Christie, before eventually overtaking them all—the two sniped at each other with fervor.

BuzzFeed’s Ben Smith has an inside baseball report about a January 5 meeting between Republican frontrunner Donald Trump and the editorial board of The New York Times. According to Smith, many Times employees believe Trump conveyed to the paper—during a portion of the meeting deemed off-the-record —that his extreme policy positions on immigration are more flexible than he’s publicly admitted. Still, the Times refuses to release a transcript of the meeting, or even discuss Trump’s off-the-record comments:

Marco Rubio, trying to be mean again, claimed at a campaign rally on Sunday that Donald Trump has small hands for how tall he is, and that “You know what they say about men with small hands—you can’t trust ‘em!”

At a rally Saturday, Donald Trump took a moment to reflect on the California class-action lawsuit he is facing over the now-defunct Trump University, and to specifically comment on the ethnicity of the judge overseeing the case: “I believe he happens to be Spanish, which is fine. He’s Hispanic—which is fine.”

On Sunday, Senator Jefferson (“Jeff”) Sessions endorsed Donald Trump during a campaign event in his home state of Alabama. Sessions is the upper chamber’s most strident opponent of immigration reform, and the first senator to endorse the billionaire real estate developer.

Donald Trump, a man who denied knowledge of America’s most famous hate group and a leader he has publicly, voluntarily denounced in the past, definitely knows about the Ku Klux Klan. At least, he knows about the white supremacist group when he has to deny allegations that his father was involved in it.

Chris Christie’s desperate glomming-on to a presidential candidate he once called a “13-year-old” has not come without its consequences.

Is Donald Trump a fascist? Experts, historians, and pundits have debated the question for months. One thing has been certain for a while now: He tweets like one. That’s why, last year, Gawker’s Ashley Feinberg created a Twitter bot that would post quotes from the writings and speeches of the Italian fascist dictator Benito Mussolini, but with all of them attributed to businessman and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. This morning, he retweeted that account.

What politician doesn’t jump at any chance he gets to call out the fallacy of white supremacists and the KKK? The same man who’s bolstered by their support, it seems.

Despite being the frontrunner for the Republican nomination, Donald Trump’s campaign is predicated on being non-traditional and non-presidential. So it’s perhaps no surprise that today he forcefully resisted a call to reveal any of his tax returns, which is a routine part of the election process.
