A book proposal by this title has been doing the rounds at publishing houses and agents. It needs to see the light of day. Why? Because it's romantic historical fiction featuring a love affair with Vince Vaughn through the ages.

Scandal- and bad-hair-ridden ex-Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich was spotted at the Flatiron offices of Macmillan, the book publisher. Blagojevich, who loves poetry as much as he loves profanity, must surely have a memoir in him.

Confirmed: Oprah Winfrey doesn't read Gawker. She had to hear from the Daily News that her dad Vernon Winfrey is writing a book about her, and she didn't even believe it at first. "I called him and it turned out he is writing a book. The worst part of it was him saying, 'I meant to tell you I've been working on it,'" she tells Rush & Molloy. She's "shocked," and we would be too if our dad was telling the world how ornery we were as a pregnant teenager, as in this excerpt of his proposal!

Ken's e-mail solicitation going out to publishers reveals that the man is a master strategist of the hard sell ("What's in it for you? Imagine having the ONLY manuscript that defends the VA Tech Shooter") with a firm grasp of the publishing industry's current concerns ("Occasionally, I will use personal anecdotes (proof of which I have, to prevent another James Frey) about my many physical and verbal fights with whites and blacks."). Things Unspoken is a memoir by Oprah's father, Vernon Winfrey. It's out on submission to agents right now—and we'd guess that no one will end up representing him unless they are so so SO SO crazy and never ever want to work again. In the proposal, we learn that Winfrey had some seriously old-timey views on childrearing!
