He's realizing that the blue blazer and slacks look might incorrectly pigeonhole him as a "square." But what to wear?
Likely-murderous Dutchman Joran van der Sloot — facing a first-degree murder charge for killing a young Peruvian woman, Stephany Flores last year — intends to use a "violent emotion" defense. Van der Sloot's lawyer says he lost it when he caught Flores looking at Natalee Holloway stuff on his laptop. According to the AP:

The Republicans' slow limp towards the 2012 election will attempt another lunge forward today in Iowa, as some of the declared, half-declared, and likely future declarers meet for their first candidates' forum. While it's exciting that they'll be in the same physical location in an actual early battleground state, though, it's unclear how much interaction they'll have.
Remember a few years back how all the people who care about children went on a whole kick about smaller class sizes? They were all, "Smaller class sizes are the key to educational success," blah blah, passing laws.

Republican Sens. Tom Coburn and Jim DeMint have introduced a bill to cut that program that they always want to cut: subsidies for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, overlord of PBS and NPR. We already know why Republicans want to cut NPR funding so badly, because the liberal snob station fired a reporter last fall over his patriotic belief that Muslims are terrifying. And PBS! They're downright socialist, and Jim Lehrer is a Muslim spy.
