RNC Chairman Resorts to Subtweeting John Kasich
With Ted Cruz out and Donald Trump its all but guaranteed nominee, the Republican National Committee is—however begrudgingly—preparing to refocus its sights on presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. Which means it’s past time for John Kasich to officially bow out, RNC chairman Reince Preibus said in so many words Tuesday night.
.@realDonaldTrump will be presumptive @GOP nominee, we all need to unite and focus on defeating @HillaryClinton #NeverClinton

As it were, Kasich seems to realize the game is over. He declined to give a speech after the primary results were announced and according to WCPO Cincinnati reporter Amanda Seitz, his current supporters are already turning on him: “Seeing SEVERAL of John Kasich’s handpicked, Ohio delegates embracing idea of Trump ticket on social media. NOT good for Kasich.” What a night.
