[There was a video here]

Earlier today, Donald Trump met with “over a hundred” black pastors in a private meeting after it came out that Trump was (falsely) framing the event as a public endorsement. Even so, Trump still sort of got the press conference he wanted—albeit with only about half a dozen pastors flanking him. And also Omarosa was there.

Unsurprisingly, the meeting sounded deeply uncomfortable for everyone involved. As one pastor explained, “Concerning the issue of the racial slurs and the racial comments that he has made, it was addressed head on. And we are walking way with the feeling that, perhaps, after more conversation, we will be able to echo the tone at the top as a voice to those that are lacking a voice.”

We’re sure you have lots of questions about Trump’s secret black pastor cabal—we certainly do. And who better to answer than the man himself?

To which racial slurs, specifically, was the pastor referring?

These are deep-seated difficulties that certain communities have and we’re going to address them, and certainly if I’m put in a position where I can do something about them, which in this case happens to be president, we’re going to be working very very closely with everybody and we’re going to be solving a lot of problems.

How did you address some of the concerns that were raised?

I’ll think we’ll be addressing them over the coming months and even over the coming years.

Was the fact that it turned into a press conference a complete and total surprise?

We actually didn’t think we were going to be having a press conference. But it was such a good meeting, we thought we would do that, and we had many, many endorsements coming out of the meeting.

Is that a complete and total lie?

[No]

[Ed. Note—Yes.]

Now, how many of these 100 pastors are actually endorsing you?

Some committed. The rest are praying about.

Is Black Lives Matter a real movement?

I don’t want to discuss that. To me, black lives are very important. White lives are very important. All lives are very important.

Where did all the pastors supposedly supporting you go?

There’s a whole group of people behind me. You can’t see them.

What did you see in that room?

I saw love in that room, I see love everywhere I go.

Should you see an ophthalmologist about that?

I see tremendous amounts of love—like right now, I’m getting on a plane and going to Georgia.... I’m literally leaving right now.

[Ed. Note—He was not literally leaving right then.]

Did the meeting run long because of the love?

It went longer because of the love. It didn’t go longer for other reasons. There were unbelievable solutions to problems that we will solve that other people won’t be able to solve.

Why do you think the 9/11 video hasn’t surfaced?

We’ll see what surfaces.

How excited is Omarosa to be there?

This excited.
