Domino's Managers Strategically Torch Rival Papa John's
Let's just dig into the Florida news here and pull out a typical Florida news story, at random: Aha. Two young men in Lake City were thinking entrepreneurially last week:
Two managers of a Domino's Pizza restaurant in Lake City, in north-central Florida, have been charged with burning down a rival Papa John's location.
The motive? Police say one of the men admitted that he believed with his competitor out of the way, more pizza lovers would flock to his restaurant.
"His restaurant," in this case, refers to "the Domino's Pizza restaurant at which he is employed as a manager," so the direct financial benefit for which he risked his very freedom is unclear, at best. You're no Palatka, Lake City! Anyhow. Florida! The best that stupid Georgia could do today was to do a bunch of acid with its dog which then ran out and got hit by a car. Amateurs.
Floridians are too busy making news to worry about stupid football games.
