Who are the real losers of this recession, besides "all of humanity in general?" We don't want to spoil it for you, but... not white people! Whew. From the NYT:

[A new Pew Foundation study], which used data collected by the Census Bureau, found that the median wealth of Hispanic households fell by 66 percent from 2005 to 2009. By contrast, the median wealth of whites fell by just 16 percent over the same period. African Americans saw their wealth drop by 53 percent. Asians also saw a big decline, with household wealth dropping 54 percent.

So while the recession was somewhat painful for whites, it was absolutely devastating to Hispanic households, and almost as back for black and Asian people. And the WSJ points out another relieving bit of news, for whites: "The median net worth of white households is 20 times greater than that of black households and 18 times greater than that of Hispanic households."

Do you know how much "wealth" the average black or Hispanic household in America has? Around $6,000.

There has quite literally never, in this generation, been a better time to be a white America, economically speaking. Until the revolution comes. And when that happens... hey, look over there—a highly paid professional athlete! Grrrr! Hate them! Professional athletes vs. the rest of us, that's the real class divide, amirite? Fist bump! Guys?
