  • Oh no, Conde Nast is slowing down its effort to make iPad apps for all of its magazines! To allow the number of iPad users to catch up with the wild fantasies of media executives. The following magazines are still waiting for their iPad apps: W, Vogue, Teen Vogue, Details, Architectural Digest, Brides, Lucky, Golf World, Bon Appetit and Conde Nast Traveler. And they'll keep waiting, maybe all the way into next year! I guess you'll be stuck reading Golf World on paper like a big, big loser. Big time (loser).
  • Here's the annual profile of NY Post Albany dictator Fred Dicker. He's powerful! But he's a journalist! And he's mean! But still a good journalist! But partisan! Etc. I'd simply advise politicians that if they don't want to deal with Fred Dicker, stay out of Albany.
  • Will journalists ever learn "what works" on Tumblr? So far they've come up with "photos of random shit" and "links to random shit" and "one liners that make me look cool." Keep on working at it, journalists.
  • The Royal Wedding is next Friday, so TV networks are like so harried getting ready for that—and then two days later, it's the beatification of Pope John Paul II! Network anchors will have to quickly pack up from an outrageous undemocratic pseudoevent and jet off to an outrageous terrifying religious event! Will Katie Couric be able to pull it off?
