Glenn Beck (Temporarily) Washed Away by Tsunami
In your waterlogged Friday media column: Fox News chooses Japan over Glenn Beck, Adam Moss can't come up with any good insults, the New York Times knows what you need to read, and everyone's getting into this whole iPad thing.
- Fox News says it will be preempting this afternoon's Glenn Beck show in order to cover the earthquake. Are you going to let Japan push you around again, Glenn Beck fans? I thought we won WWII?!
- New York editor Adam Moss has only nice things to say about Tina Brown's Newsweek. Yea, yea. You'll never be hardcore if you keep acting like that, Adam Moss.
- NYTimes.com is launching a "recommended for you" thing that instruct you to read certain articles, or else. Finally, the New York Times is a little bit like Amazon.com. Eh.
- The WSJ has added 200,000 subscribers on the iPad and Kindle. And, in the UK, Conde Nast is going to invest more in iPad apps for its various magazines. What a slow goddamn news day this is, except for the earthquake.
