  • One more Nir Rosen tidbit: the "creepiest thing" Rosen ever said, according to Jeffrey Goldberg, is when he wrote "I find myself in the unique and painful position of calling for international sanctions against Israel and wondering if a punitive bombing of Tel Aviv, the city I love, until it complies with international law, might be a good (albeit quixotic) idea." That is creepy. As creepy as advocating the bombing of Baghdad.
  • The indefatigable Sewell Chan is leaving the NYT's Washington bureau to become a deputy editor in the Op-Ed section. Opinions will be had! And Andrew Goldman is taking over the NYT Magazine's questioning column from Deborah Solomon. Questions will be had! Oh, and the NYT is about to get into a full-fledged contract battle with its newsroom union. Feelings will be had!
  • Says Richard Prince: "The new issue of Essence magazine, delivered during Black History Month, might as well be renamed 'Wigs and Weaves.'" Bwahaha. We'll just leave that there.
  • Does Helen Thomas want to apologize for the pro-Palestinian, anti-Israeli remarks that got her fired? "Hell no." When you've done everything Helen Thomas has done, you won't have to apologize, either.
  • Bill Monroe, who moderate Meet the Press on NBC from 1975-1984, has died at the age of 90.
