The 'Hottest' Party at CPAC Features an Omnisexual Singer from the '90s
The annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) starts tomorrow in Washington, D.C. You may think that hanging out with the likes of Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney, talking about why poor people are to blame for all of America's problems, sounds about as appealing as an icepick to the eye.
But wait until you hear about the "hottest ticket" at CPAC: The "Big Party" fete, co-hosted by Conservative blowhard Andrew Breitbart and GOProud, the gay Republican group currently tearing the Right apart. From the press release:
The invitation only event will be headlined by Grammy Award nominated singer/songwriter Sophie B. Hawkins, and will be held from 9 PM to Midnight at the 18th Street Lounge in Washington, D.C...
Big Party headliner Sophie B. Hawkins emerged in 1992 with a fierce bidding war for her debut album, Tongues & Tails. The Columbia Records release quickly went gold, earned her a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist, and fired a single, "Damn I Wish I Was Your Lover", into the Top Five.
According to Metro Weekly, Hawkins "identifies as omnisexual and has a female partner." Ohhh yeah! A nine-to-midnight orgy of fiscal responsibility, fueled by the dulcet tones of an ominsexual Alanis Morissette knockoff. Republican, Democrat, Libertarian or Communist: Gays know how to party!
