What do North Koreans want more than anything in the world? Why, skinny jeans, of course! Also, poop. Both items are "selling like hotcakes"!
According to a South Korean professor, at least. Kim Young-soo claims that tapered denim, excrement, pornography, instant noodles and TV dramas are among the most popular items in North Korea, based on his interviews with defectors. They sound just like college kids!
The poop, in case you are wondering, is ostensibly sold as fertilizer, while skinny jeans are popular because of a lifting of the ban on "fashionable trousers" (which, joke's on you guys, North Korea, skinny jeans are very 2007). And the best part is, none of this is verifiable. So why not believe it? No one will contradict you! North Koreans: They love to buy doo-doo! And Grey's Anatomy!
