In your scraggly Thursday media column: CNN is proud of odd things, the Glenn Beck boycott is a failure, a lawsuit against Interview magazine, and Moe Tkacik takes DC.

  • Haha, CNN's new ad campaign features ads touting its three proudest journalistic moments of the year: Haiti; the Gulf Oil Disaster; and Shirley Sherrod. Shirley Sherrod? Shirley Sherrod. CNN: Shirley Sherrod.
  • Rupert Murdoch says that an ongoing boycott of Glenn Beck's show has had "zero impact" on Beck's revenue. Take that back to your hippie compound, losers.
  • The latest in the never-boring saga of Interview magazine: two former sales execs are suing the mag's management for more than $1 million in commissions they say they were cheated out of. Hey, if there's one thing we're sure of, it's that nobody involved has a million bucks. Just calm down.
  • Former Jezebel and Gawkerer Moe Tkacik is moving to DC to start a blog for the Washington City Paper, and to harass the media figures of DC that need to be harassed, until they are dead. We will follow her with interest!
