Tribune Co. Would Do Anything for Some Nice Clean Clothes
In you crisp Thursday media column: Tribune Co. is hobolicious, the NY Daily News might head downtown, True/ Slant is a coveted property, and Latinos watch out, you're being targeted!
- Ha, broke ass Tribune Co. is so broke that they have their TV reporters wear LL Bean jackets, so LL Bean gets some publicity and what does Tribune get of it? Free LL Bean jackets. Man, that is cheap!
- Jeff Bercovici says that NY Daily News boss Mort Zuckerman is in discussions about moving the paper's offices downtown. Right now the offices are on 33rd St. on the far West Side, so you know, "no great loss," we'll say, diplomatically.
- True/ Slant, the online place where lots of people write things, is reportedly in the midst of M&A talks with possible "strategic" buyers. Somebody paying for a place where people write things? Content is king, again!
- "Fox News Targets Latinos." Oh, with a website. We thought they meant, like, through a rifle scope.
