We have a hard time believing that Fishsticks Paltrow is the offspring of Blythe Danner, who seems like a nice lady who doesn't take herself so seriously.

Unfortunately that self-effacing gene skipped a generation, and her daughter Gywneth is still on the warpath with her critics over her um, "website" GOOP (infuriating tag line: "nourish the inner aspect").

Page Six is reporting that Gwynnie's claim to 150,000 readers isn't even due to her own magical advice dispensed on the site, or her winning personality. Rather, Paltrow's readership is culled from a partnership with Peter Arnell.

Writes Page Six: "Arnell Group, which has repped Chrysler, DKNY and Con Ed, is likely "handling all branding, logos and layout of [Paltrow's] Web site, as well as her e-newsletter mailing," an insider said. Goop.com also lists its address as 7 World Trade Center, which houses Arnell Group's offices."

So, who's reading GOOP? At this rate, we are imagining a room with Madonna and Chris Martin locked inside, endlessly hitting the refresh button.
