The Junglee man's back with Webaroo
Rakesh Mathur is back in town. The Junglee co-founder sold to Amazon in '98 after doing the "Let's buy Google, oops, let's merge with Google" circuit (just like Kosmix).
But Mathur's real claim to fame is that little black dress he wore in Upside Magazine. Nothing says "bubble" like cross-dressing CEOs.
Now the exile returns from Seattle with a startup called Webaroo. It's a mobile company, the perfect Bubble 2.0 equivalent to online sales. The name's cute enough, with the obligatory "oo" and the weird kangaroo logo. All that's left is getting Mathur into a bikini.
