Woman Seeks Divorce Because Husband Thought Frozen Wasn't That Great
On the 10th anniversary of the release of Disney's Frozen—okay, it only feels like 10 years—a woman is reportedly asking for a divorce because her husband just doesn't think the movie is that great.
An anonymous 31-year-old man told the cheerfully-named Japanese marriage advice forum Kikonsha no Hakaba ("The Gravesite of Married People") that his wife has recently become obsessed with Frozen, and threatened to leave him after he asked her, "Do you really think it's that good?"
"If you can't understand what makes this movie great, there's something wrong with you as a human being!" he claims she responded.
He says she's since moved out, and will only communicate with him through their parents.
The man doesn't think there were preexisting issues in the marriage—money isn't an issue for them, and they don't have kids—so he's completely shocked that Frozen was a sudden dealbreaker.
Of course, the story could be completely made up. Viral forum posts aren't suddenly more reliable because they originated in Asia, as we were reminded over the weekend with the hoax about the man whose son's scribbles supposedly invalidated his Chinese passport.
But if it's true, the potential for "Let It Go" jokes is just staggering.
