Despite occasional lapses in honesty, "Celebrities Read Mean Tweets" continues to be one of Jimmy Kimmel's most successful segments. But one thing has always been missing from the popular bit: Politicians.
The well-connected (and decidedly intrepid) crew of NowThisNews's DC office called in every last favor they were ever owed just to get some facetime with America's leading lawmakers so they could ask them to say mean thing about themselves under the guise of "tweets."
You'd wonder if losing access indefinitely was worth it — until you watch Paul Ryan call himself "Satan incarnate" and Claire McCaskill say she "sucks a pig's ass," and you wonder no more.
