Two NYPD Officers Shot During Gunfire in the Bronx
A pair of New York City police officers were shot at a public housing complex in the Bronx Thursday night, according to authorities.
The New York Times reports that one officer who was struck in the leg is currently in surgery at the Lincoln Medical Center. The other officer was struck in the cheek, and both cases were deemed not life-threatening.
According to The New York Post, one suspect, who may have shot himself, was declared dead after a shootout. A second suspect was taken into custody on the scene.
