This Is What It Looks Like Inside That Naked Haunted House
Last week, Pennsylvania's "premier haunted scream park" Shocktoberfest unveiled its newest — and nudest — attraction for the 2013 Halloween Season: "The Naked and Scared Challenge."
Guests were invited to face their fear of public nudity by entering a haunted house completely in the raw and walking around in the dark with a bunch of other naked strangers.
The attracting drew instant attention from media outlets around the world, which, as always, resulted in the attraction almost getting shut down.
On its Facebook page, Shocktoberfest explained why we can't have nude things:
Although the Naked and Scared Challenge is legal, due to this worldwide attention, it has been requested by our township officials [Sinking Spring] not of offer the “nude” option. Not wanting to engage in a battle with our municipalities we have decided to concede.
The relatively good news is that the Naked and Scared Challenge ultimately went ahead almost as planned with guests getting nearly nude instead.
The aptly named Disney News blog Inside the Magic decided to take a peek inside the Unknown Haunted House to see what the revamped challenge looked like.
For added effect, the blog blurred the female participants naughty parts to give the impression "of what a naked haunted house experience would be like."
Even while wearing underwear, our group of victims unanimously and positively recommended the experience. Though being only half naked didn’t expose our group to new fears nearly as much as the fully nude challenge would have, some still felt more vulnerable while facing Shocktoberfest’s scares, each leaving with a different memorable moment that got under their skin the most.
