NY1 Captures Cargo's Last Breaths

Jessica · 03/28/06 01:32PM

In our continuing coverage of Cargo's death (if only someone had paid so much attention when the mag was still alive), it's been brought to our attention that senior editor Matt Trainor was on NY1 yesterday giving tips on how to host a March Madness party. Oh, cruel irony.

• Mag circ shit continues hitting the fan. [BW]
• Jon Friedman spent the strike watching NY1, and he developed a crush on the stations — and on transit reporter Bobby Cuza. [MW]

Williamsburg bridge

Gawker · 03/28/03 10:10AM

NY1 is reporting that the Williamsburg Bridge is closed after "reports of suspicious activity." (Other sources report that three men were seen with packages, and then without.) A reader beats me to the punchline: "Simple security precaution, or, can we hope, the beginning of the Hipster Quarantine? Is the East Village next?"
