Employees at the Cineworld cinema in Nottingham claim a "technical error" caused Paranormal Activity 4 to be screened accidentally to a theater full of formerly happy-go-lucky kids who were there to watch the third Madagascar film.

No surprise here: Brave is now the 13th Pixar movie to debut in first place at the box office. That makes Pixar 13 for 13.

For the second weekend in a row, Madagascar 3 was the biggest box office earner, taking in $35.5 million.

A 3D sci-fi epic written by Damon Lindelof and directed by Ridley Scott, complete with tie-in to the iconic Alien franchise — you'd think Prometheus would have easily taken the box office this weekend. And yes, it did well, but in the end, it couldn't keep up with Dreamworks' CGI talking animals in Madagascar 3.
