While "the course of true love never did run smooth," Joss Whedon's jazzy, sparkly foray into Shakespeare adaptations looks velvety. Back when Fox bought Joss Whedon's series pitch Dollhouse, the network bypassed the pilot stage and granted an immediate episode order in an attempt to speed the show onto the air with a minimum of speedbumps.
