He knew we were waiting for details, and he hasn't kept us in suspense: Simon Doonan's wedding to Jonathan Adler was, says Simon, "a perfect day," during which the lovebirds laughed, cried, and "threatened to stomp on each other" instead of stomping on a glass. They then headed off on honeymoon in Big Sur not alone, but with Jonathan's mother and sister, Ruben and Isabel Toledo, and Ariel Levy and her wife Amy Norquist. [NYO]

Nice news to cheer up a rather dismal week: Yesterday New York's favorite gay couple Simon Doonan and Jonathan Adler got married at City Hall in San Francisco! After fourteen years together, the Barneys creative maestro (Doonan) and rapidly-expanding designer (Adler) decided on a small ceremony with Adler's mom and sister as guests, where Adler made the most romantic of gestures: he switched off his Blackberry! A "more formal" Jewish ceremony followed at a hotel. The happy couple is now on their honeymoon at Big Sur. Congrats!

At the Couture Council of the Museum at FIT cocktail party, multi-tasking man-about-town Simon Doonan revealed to The Cut that his longtime boyfriend, designer Jonathan Adler, was going to make an honest man of him. So why, after being together for more than a decade, have they decided to make it official? Well, you can't expect a Jewish mother not to push for a wedding:
