Lacey Donohue · 10/24/13 08:17PM

[This week, artist Jorge Rodriguez-Gerada debuted his 11-acre land art portrait of a girl making a wish. Located in the Titanic Quarter of Belfast, Ireland, the artwork, titled "WISH," took one month to construct and required 30,000 wooden pegs, 2,000 tons of soil, and 2,000 tons of sand. The Disturbing Fetish Images the Cannibal Cop's Lawyers Don't Want You to See

Max Read · 01/30/13 03:34PM

Images released today by a judicial order provide a disturbing window into the hard drive — and fantasies — of "Cannibal Cop" Gilberto Valle, the NYPD officer accused of plotting to kidnap, kill and eat a woman: a photo of a naked woman, face down, hog-tied on a pan with an apple in her mouth. Another woman, bound and tied to a spit, rotating over an open campfire. A cartoon of a guy in an apron, adding salt to a pot in which a woman is being boiled alive.

Every once in a while, a story comes along that offers media outlets a great deal of artistic license when selecting an image to accompany their articles. Not Even Oprah Can Resist The Power Of Swag

AmyKSays · 09/22/08 05:35PM

Oh, celebrities - even though US Weekly says They're Just Like Us!, they often seem to inhabit stratospheric heights. Take Oprah Winfrey, for example. She founded that school in South Africa. Her Angel Network raised money for Katrina relief efforts. And who can forget Oprah's Favorite Things!, when she nearly sends hordes of teachers in her audiences into cardiac arrest by giving them free cars and red velvet cupcakes. Well, apparently Opes is just as greedy as the rest of us.Over the weekend, Oprah hit up an Emmy swag suite and - gasp! - actually took something home with her. A purple-grey Lesportsac limited edition bowling style bag designed by Stella McCartney. Really, Oprah? We would've gone for one of these cool hats, like Neal Patrick Harris did. Reese Witherspoon and Christina Ricci Are Just Friends. For Now.

Molly Friedman · 02/21/08 12:00PM

Looks like Penelope co-stars Christina Ricci and Reese Witherspoon could learn a thing or two from touchy-feely new couple Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman: when co-starring in a film that's not guaranteed to be a hit, don't stop at matching haircuts and standing thisclose together at the premiere. Go in for the kill already! Holding on to each other and smiling from ear to ear (but not rear to rear), Reesetina looked almost as lovey-dovey as ScarNat at the LA premiere of Penelope last night, but one set of tattooed cleavage does not a Fake Kiss make.
