Snooki's Getting Married (or Not)

Brian Moylan · 02/16/12 01:10PM

"Snooki's Getting Married" is the headline in In Touch Weekly, the tabloid you buy when the supermarket is out of People, Us Weekly, Star, National Enquirer, and even OK!. Except there is absolutely no truth to it.

D.C.'s Free Newspaper Has a Dirty, Unfortunate Headline

Brian Moylan · 12/02/11 02:15PM

Imagine waking up in D.C. this morning and having to muddle your way to the Metro (it's what they call the subway) and go to your government job. Yeah, that totally sucks. Hamilton Nolan · 08/03/11 08:50AM

'Hooker Overcomes Illness, Slaps Beaver'

Richard Lawson · 01/28/11 04:38PM

Today in inadvertently funny headlines, there's this high school basketball piece from Kansas's Leader & Times. Sadly, the article does not tell the tale of a hard-luck working girl overcoming the odds to issue her traditional mating sound. (via)

Nigerian Man Arrested Carrying 70 Dead Babies in Bags

Maureen O'Connor · 07/08/10 01:52PM

It's not Friday yet, but I'm pretty sure this is the most startling headline of the week: "Nigerian man arrested with bags carrying 70 dead babies." Apparently a hospital in Lagos, Nigeria was dodging burial fees. [BBC, image via]
