The wrath of the online video takes shape: a Maryland grand jury has indicted two teenagers on hate crime charges for last month's awful, sickening beating of Chrissy Polis, a transgender woman, in a god damn McDonald's. The beating was helpfully recorded by a heroic bystander, who did not step in to prevent Chrissy Polis from being beaten.

The internet has fallen in love with another video of a fight in a fast-food restaurant, this one of a nasty assault at a Rosedale, Md. McDonald's that culminates in the victim having a seizure. It's pretty awful!

Michael Enright—the aspiring filmmaker who allegedly slashed a cab driver in New York because he was Muslim—was denied bail on Monday after his lawyer argued that Enright was suffering from PTSD and was an alcoholic, The Times reported.

This evening, a gunman opened fire on a Tel Aviv recreation center/cafe dedicated to supporting the area's gay community. Reports now list three dead, twelve injured, and most targets minors. And there's no question that this was a hate crime.
