We should thank delightful Rep. Louie Gohmert, in a way, for bringing this post-Tucson spree of hastily conceived legislative proposals to its natural conclusion: He's drafting a bill that allows members of Congress to carry guns on the House floor.

Arizona police have turned up more evidence against shooting suspect Jared Loughner, including notes that read "Die, Bitch," "I planned ahead," and "My assassination." Loughner's family also released a statement today, reading in part, "We don't understand why this happened."

24-year-old gun runner Efraim Diveroli's been sentenced to four years in prison for ripping off the U.S. government on a $300 million contract to provide ammunition to troops in Afghanistan. The "good times" weren't worth it, he said. Touching.

Richard "Rhino" Winant, a bounty hunter from New Jersey, was arrested for shooting at a coke dealer with an illegal handgun last week in Lakewood, after the dealer tried to run Rhino over with his car. Vigilantism at its finest!
