Tonight a Florida man’s acquittal for hunting and killing a black teenager who was armed with only a bag of candy serves as a Rorschach test for the American public. For conservatives, it’s a triumph of permissive gun laws and a victory over the liberal media, which had been unfairly rooting for the dead kid all along. For liberals, it's a tragic and glaring example of the gaps that plague our criminal justice system. For people of color, it’s a vivid reminder that we must always be deferential to white people, or face the very real chance of getting killed.

The goal here is for the ammunition to strike fear into the hearts of Muslims who abstain from pork. The company is called "Jihawg Ammo." The tag line: "Put some HAM in Mohamed." For fuck's sake.

New details have emerged that reveal more about the violent past of John Zawahri, the 23-year-old Santa Monica resident who shot and killed five people on Friday. In what seemed to be a planned attack, Zawahri killed his father and brother, then carjacked a vehicle and forced the driver to take him to the Santa Monica College campus where he shot and killed three others. Zawahri was then shot and killed by the police.

A Florida man was asked to leave Walt Disney World this weekend after forgetting his handgun, which was loaded with hollow point bullets, on the seat of a ride at the Animal Kingdom. The man said he was unaware guns are banned from the park.
