Did you know Mark Zuckerberg is 27, not 23; went to Stanford, not Harvard; lives in San Francisco, not Palo Alto; and sold a financial research firm? That's the story that Match.com user TheDayDreamr would have you believe. He's used several pictures of the Facebook founder to decorate his profile. Since Zuckerberg's mug has been on magazine newsstands from coast to coast, it's hard to imagine what TheDayDreamr is thinking. He claims to be a "young, successful man" who "decided to retire" after selling his company. If he's so clever, wouldn't he have picked a handsomer face to borrow? The full, faked profile:

Geek-loving cover girl Julia Allison turns 27 soon and all she wants — other than a MacBook Air and whole long list of stuff — is a boy, "tied with a red bow, like a new car for graduation." Knowing Julia's taste for geeks like Kevin Rose and some guy who used to run some video site, we figured: Who better to help Julia land a new man than Valleywag readers? VentureBeat editor Matt Marshall does have a striking resemblance to Superman's Jimmy Olsen, as Jangl CEO Michael Cerda suggests. The analogy's even more apt if you compare Marshall to the Smallville version:

A sharp-eyed type spotted Sergey Brin's wedding band in this photo: gold, with a red stone set in it. Most men, in the Valley as elsewhere, opt for a simple band. The Google cofounder married Anne Wojcicki of 23andMe last year. It's up to a 31-year-old graduate of Palo Alto High School to spend Ballmer's bucks. Despite his lack of higher education, Jonathan Heiliger has a lengthy resume and more experience than most racking up servers in datacenters. But the scale of his current project is daunting.

Google has found a photogenic spokesperson for its election-tracking effort: Brittany Bohnet. Yes, the same Brittany Bohnet who was, last we checked, dating Facebook evangelist Dave Morin. Yes, the same Facebook which is aggressively pushing its own elections coverage. What's that old rule about never talking work or politics on a date?

Here's Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and girlfriend Priscilla Chan in all their North Face glamour. TMZ caught the couple leaving L.A. restaurant Mr. Chow. The cameraman accuses Zuckerberg of cheating on his girlfriend. "I think somebody's going to get in trouble," he says. Of course, Chan is Zuck's girlfriend, so the couple seem more amused than worried. But since Zuck's shy, he slips loose of Chan and wanders around a bit until a black car shows up to save the day.

Michael Arrington's on-again, off-again flame Meghan Asha is not the golddigger some of you — tsk, tsk — unfairly presume her to be. Turns out she's loaded! Like private jet, loaded. "She's from the Bay Area," a tipster tells us,"and at least one of her parents is a big deal. Apparently [Asha's] family paid for the private jet that she and Julia Allison took from CES to the Crunchies." How intimate are Robert Scoble and Shel Israel? The pair wrote Naked Conversations together and now they'll both be videoblogging for Fast Company. Also, they appear to have been nude, hairy and within close proximity of each other in at least one instance. Here's hoping it was memorable. And that they'll videoblog clothed.

There are lies, damn lies, and personal ads. Dave Winer, a newcomer to The Well, an online community, posted one in 1994 that said he had an "athletic build." For the fiancées of ambitious founders, there's a new metric of wealth for their future spouses to live up to: "I don't want you to sell unless you can make Miyake money." That's the amount Google apparently laid out for Jaiku, the Euro rival of Twitter. The exact purchase price hasn't been disclosed yet. But Jyri Engeström just announced that he and his bride-to-be Ulla-Maaria Mutanen are in Tokyo, getting her wedding dress personally fitted by famed designer Issey Miyake. Google exec Marissa Mayer looked stunning at the ballet with her date, Montara Capital Partners cofounder Zack Bogue. All dolled up in a Naeem Khan dress — Khan has also designed for Beyonce and Alicia Keys — with jewelry by Graff, Marissa definitely turned it out. Tipsters have informed us that Google exec Marissa Mayer's male companion is Zack Bogue, a cofounder of private-equity firm Montara Capital Partners. In addition to being quite handsome, Zack has the pedigree to match. He studied environmental science and public policy at Harvard and then got his law degree from Georgetown. Nice catch! Mayer and Bogue were spotted together at a restaurant recently, a source says: "There was quite a bit of handholding, and Marissa picked up the check. They're a modern couple." Last week we spotted Google exec Marissa Mayer, with an unknown male companion, outside the Moscone Center visiting fellow Googlers in line for the Steve Jobs keynote (below). Then, on Friday, she was photographed at the Crunchies with the same guy (above/left). Hmmm, does Marissa have a new boyfriend? Or is he just an attentive colleague? Why on earth is Silicon Valley's fastest-rising venture capitalist moving to New York? In the Valley, Peter Thiel is best known for his prescient investment in Facebook. His $500,000 grubstake is now worth $750 million on paper. And his Founders Fund may well revolutionize the venture-capital industry. But in real cash money, Thiel has made far more from Clarium Capital, the hedge fund he's operated since selling PayPal to eBay in 2002.

First free software, now free love, thanks to a free personal ad. Richard Stallman, the cantankerous founder of the Free Software Foundation, is looking for a "sweetie," according to an ad placed on Craigslist. He's interested in a woman who "values joy, truth, beauty and justice more than 'success,'" so I guess that rules out geek-seeking missile Julia Allison.
