A new Pew Research Center poll finds a five percent dip in support for gay marriage (down to 49 percent versus 54 percent in Feburary). Also 50 percent of the public now considers homosexuality a "sin" (versus 45 percent last year). But not casting stones of judgment, imagine that. Keep fighting the good fight.

It's not a competition, but here's the best wedding that happened this weekend: 90-year-old Alice "Nonie" Dubes and 91-year-old Vivian Doyack got married in Davenport, Iowa after 72 years together. Vivian wore pink, Nonie wore taupe, and the two held hands in their wheelchairs during the ceremony.

Judge Richard Posner, moderate conservative of the Seventh Circuit, has espoused the occasional nutty idea. He also has an ego roughly the size of the Midwest. But this week, he delivered a beautifully-argued opinion laced with righteous sarcasm striking down the gay marriage bans in Indiana and Wisconsin. Let's admire it together.

Brigham Young University, a Mormon university in Provo, Utah, has confirmed that they removed greeting cards from their campus store that outwardly celebrated gay marriage. Hallmark had stocked them in the store among the other cards.

Unless the U.S. Supreme Court intervenes, gay couples can get married in Virginia starting next Wednesday. That's because the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals denied a delay on its ruling that struck down the state's gay marriage ban today.

The 4th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled today 2-1 that Virginia's gay marriage ban is unconstitutional. Judge Paul Niemeyer, a Republican appointee, dissented.

A Florida judge overturned the state's ban on gay marriage today, but the ruling only applies to the Florida Keys. There's a similar case still being tried in Miami-Dade county. The Keys seems like a nice place to get married, and couples can do so starting on Tuesday.

When Jacki decided she wanted to marry her girlfriend Christine, marriage wasn't yet legal in California, where they live. And so she hatched a plan: "I started looking into transgender," she says, as if it's a new diet or LASIK. "In the eyes of the courts, if I were to have my gender changed to male, just like that she gets my social security, she gets my pension." Jacki had a double mastectomy and her gender on her birth certificate changed to "male." She still goes by "Jacki," and Christine still refers to her as "she."

Adams County District Court Judge C. Scott Crabtree ruled that Colorado's ban on gay marriage—voted on and approved in 2006—unconstitutional Wednesday. The judge issued a stay on his ruling pending appeals. He also ruled that same-sex marriages performed outside of the state should be recognized.

Two weeks after a federal appeals court overturned the state's ban on gay marriage, Utah's attorney general announced Wednesday that the state will appeal the decision directly to the Supreme Court.

U.S. Navy veteran Madelynn Taylor filed a civil rights suit against the Idaho Division of Veterans Services yesterday, after her request to be buried in the state's vet cemetery with her late wife was denied. Taylor married Jean, who died in 2012, in California in 2008.

Colorado Attorney General John Suthers is suing Boulder County Clerk Hillary Hall, who has been issuing same-sex marriage licenses while same-sex marriage is still technically banned in the state. Hall has argued that the ruling by the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals last month that struck down Utah's ban on gay marriage keeps her in the clear, because the court's jurisdiction covers Colorado and five other surrounding states.

A federal judge just struck down Kentucky's ban on gay marriage. The ruling, which is on hold pending an appeal, comes just six days after gay marriage bans in Utah and Indiana were ruled unconstitutional.

Two major court decisions today will allow gay couples to get married in Indiana and Utah. In Indiana, a judge ruled that the state's gay marriage ban is unconstitutional, and in Utah, a federal appeals court ruled that the state can't ban gay marriage.

The largest Presbyterian denomination in the U.S. voted today in Detroit to allow the clergy to perform same-sex marriage ceremonies in the states where gay marriage is recognized. Passed by 76 percent of its 1.8 million members, the provision will amend the church's Book of Order, or constitution, to now read "two persons" instead of "a man and woman" in its language about marriage.

After striking down the unconstitutional ban on same-sex marriage in Wisconsin last week, a move that allowed—in eight days—more than 500 couples to finally wed, U.S. District Judge Barbara Crabb has ruled to put same-sex marriages on hold while an appeal from Republican Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen is pending.

Couples in Wisconsin arrived at courthouses as early as 6 a.m. this morning for an opportunity to wed their loved ones after a federal judge struck down the ban on gay marriage. The ruling is likely to be put on hold as soon as Monday, reports say.
