Last Friday in Kansas City, rich engaged woman Sarah Darling spotted poor homeless man Billy Ray Harris in a part of Kansas City called The Plaza. Harris was holding a cup full of spare change, so Darling, because she felt bad that one time or perhaps because she's always been generous, emptied her coin purse into the cup and walked off, probably happy about having performed that day's Good Deed.

Last week at this time, nutty Johnson & Johnson heiress Casey Johnson was sitting behind bars, having been arrested for stealing jewelry, clothing, shoes, and underwear from a former model named Jasmine Lennard. (She was also accused of leaving behind a wet towel and used vibrator as her "calling card," but that's another story.)

Have you heard that some whiny men are now asking/demanding that their wives-to-be give them a "man-gagement" ring before getting married? According to a poll conducted by Brides.com (which may or may not have been funded by the jewelry industry), 45 percent of women said they'd consider buying their fiancé an engagement band. Really?
